The Prosperity Party fired Workers because of Minilik and Taitu

A Prosperity Party employee who was fired for posting a video of “My Hero with a photo of Menelik and the Empress Tayitu” on Tik Tok.

This letter written by the Prosperity Party office of Ledata District states that Ms. Yetnaet Tadele resigned from her position for three reasons.

The letter states that the person is the party’s district 3 organizational affairs officer and has been dismissed from their job due to discipline, misbehavior with co-workers and “released a video on Tik Tok with a picture of Menelik and the Empress Taitu as my hero, accompanied by music.”

The Prosperity Party in Ethiopia has reportedly been involved in firing numerous workers amid ongoing conflicts and political tensions in the country. These dismissals come at a time when the party faces significant criticism and allegations of suppressing opposition voices, fabricating charges against political opponents, and limiting political diversity. The situation has raised concerns about the state of democracy and the respect for human rights in Ethiopia
