Eritrea banned Ethiopian Airlines from flying to Asmara after September

Addis Ababa, July 24/2024: The Civil Aviation Authority of Eritrea’s Ministry of Transport and Communications has announced that Ethiopian Airlines has been banned from flying to Asmara after September 30/2024.

In a statement issued by the authority today: “Ethiopian Airlines; “Stealing and delaying passengers’ luggage in a systematic and coordinated way, robbery and flight delays and non-compensation are taking place,” he said.

He also mentioned that there is an unreasonable increase in the price of flight tickets.

As a result, Ethiopian Airlines has been repeatedly called to solve the problems, but the statement said that the flight to Asmara was suspended because it could not find a fare.

Therefore, from September 20, 2017 He announced that Ethiopian Airlines flights to Eritrea have been suspended.

He added that he urged all users of Ethiopian Airlines to make flight adjustments in advance and use another option for flights to Eritrea.

Attempts to get information from Ethiopian Airlines about the matter were unsuccessful.
