Founder and Editor in chief

Kidus Tekleyohannes

Hello! I’m Kidus Tekleyohannes, the Editor-in-Chief and Founder, at Ambassador Media, an independent platform committed to delivering honest, impactful journalism in Ethiopia and beyond.

As a journalist, I write and publish news stories that aim to hold power accountable, with a particular focus on exposing issues and policies tied to Ethiopia. My work is driven by a deep commitment to uncovering the truth, amplifying marginalized voices, and fostering a more informed society.

founding Ambassador Media was born out of a vision to create a space where journalistic integrity and courage could thrive. As Editor-in-Chief, I guide our editorial direction, ensuring that every piece of content is meticulously researched and aligns with our mission of truth-telling.

I am responsible for:

  • Investigative Reporting: Conducting in-depth research and interviews to uncover the stories behind the headlines, particularly on issues of governance, corruption, and human rights.
  • Writing and Publishing: Crafting compelling, well-researched articles that inform and engage our readers.
  • Challenging Narratives: Providing a platform for voices that are often silenced, and offering alternative perspectives that counter government narratives.
  • Fact-Checking and Accuracy: Ensuring every piece of content is backed by verified facts, even under tight deadlines and in politically sensitive contexts.
  • Connecting with Communities: Engaging with individuals and communities to understand their experiences and amplify their stories.

What Drives Me

Growing up in Ethiopia, I witnessed firsthand the impact of misinformation and media suppression. This fueled my passion for creating a platform where facts come first, and stories are told with integrity and courage. Whether it’s uncovering corruption, reporting on human rights abuses, or highlighting grassroots movements, my goal is to inform, empower, and inspire action.
