In the Amhara region; Residents and the local administration informed that 15 people were killed and several houses were burnt in an attack in Adrkai district in North Gondar zone.

– Last Tuesday, May 27, at 11:00 a.m., a heavy attack was launched by the armed forces from #Tigray by a Goth group known as Alitora Kebele Ankato.
– The attack lasted from 11:00 in the morning until about 2:30 in the morning.
– A local resident said, “We were 5 in the same house. Out of the five of us, I am the one who survived by accident. The others died. They lined us up and shot us. They left me as dead. I survived by God’s will. I was shot in the back and am in the hospital.”
– Another resident said, “Many people, including 3 teenagers, died in the fire and shooting. I saw 15 people killed, including children.”
– Local militia member; “There was a shootout with the attackers. My younger brother who was with me was killed in the attack. A bomb caused damage. The bullets, because there are many weapons, they have rifles, snipers, snipers. They were shooting from a distance,” he said.
– The militants took 3 people with them when they left the area. He slaughtered 500 cattle. Houses were also burnt.
