When more than 150 university students were kidnapped in Gebre Guracha, why did not a single national/government media cover the issue? Is it to say that the country is peaceful as usual, there is no problem, it is not as rumored, it is a rumor of the enemy?
Then these same media say that we are the voice of the people, the tongue of the people, the shield of the people… It’s sad.

The BBC reported on Wednesday that the students from Debarak and Bahr Dar were abducted by an armed unit of the Oromo Liberation Army known as “Shene” while traveling in three public transport buses. The incident happened when they were passing through a small village between Goha Zion and Tulu Milki. The armed individuals hijacked the buses and took the students hostage.
Reports indicate that heavily armed forces intercepted a convoy of buses and abducted several students. The exact number of students abducted is uncertain, but is estimated at 120 to 130 people. Among the passengers were women and children, adding to the seriousness of the situation.
According to a person who escaped the horrific incident, the government forces exchanged fire with the militants and marched several kilometers with the hostages.
