A source who recalled that Ato Yohannes had come to Addis Ababa about two months ago due to a pain in his leg. At the time, they said that after staying for a week, they were sent back to Awash Arba “without finishing their treatment”. As a result, this disease is still recurring, he added.
The sources said that the reason why the politicians were moved to Addis Ababa has not yet been revealed.The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission, in a statement issued at the end of last year, stated that it had visited 53 detainees in the Awash Arba camp.
