86 million of Ethiopia’s 120 million people live in poverty.

A study confirmed that 86 million of Ethiopia’s 120 million people live in poverty.
According to this study jointly prepared by the United Nations and Oxford, India ranks first in the world with 234 million people living in poverty.

Pakistan is second with 93 million, Ethiopia is third with 86 million, Nigeria is fourth with 74 million and Democratic Congo is fifth with 66 million.

He said that these five countries account for 48 percent of the world’s 1.1 billion poor people, and 455 million of these world’s people are in war-torn countries.

Ethiopia’s 120 million people, 86 million or about 72 percent live in poverty, but a series of reports from the government indicate that the economy has grown.
